- Faculty positions in the various Departments The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, established in 1946, stands as one of India's oldest and prestigious engineering institutes. Faculty positions in the Department of Civil Engg., Electrical & Electronics Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Computer Science & Engg., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Requirements: 1. Assistant Professor: Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc and ME/M.Tech/M.Sc in the relevant discipline with first class or equivalent in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc and ME/M.Tech/M.Sc. 2. Associate Professor: Educational Qualification: As above that of Assistant Professor with Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Experience: Minimum teaching/research/industry of 5 years of experience in teaching/ research/ industry out of which atleast 2 years should be post Ph.D. Other Requirements: At least 6 journal publications in SCI/WoS/Scopus indexed journals. 3. Professor: Educational Qualification: As above that of Assistant Professor with Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. Other Requirements: At least 10 journal publications in SCI/WoS/Scopus indexed journals at the level of Associate Professor Compensation and other benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
