- JOB TITLE- SOFTWARE ENGINEER, ANDROID LOCATION - NAVI MUMBAI ROLE: We are seeking a talented and experienced (1-3years) Android Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Android platform and a passion for building exceptional mobile applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create user-friendly, high-performance, and scalable solutions that delight our users. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications for JioSaavn. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Help maintain code quality, organization, and continuous integration. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and tools. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven 1-3years experience as an Android developer with a portfolio of published apps. Proficiency in Android app lifecycles, Java, xml and Kotlin. Experience with Android frameworks such as local data store, app compilation process etc. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Web Sockets to connect Android applications to back-end services. Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards. Understanding of Android's design principles and interface guidelines. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. Familiarity with continuous integration. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with media streaming technologies. Familiarity with audio/video processing frameworks. Experience with performance and memory tuning with Instruments. Understanding of Play Store Review Guidelines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
