- Job Description: Manual Tester Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough manual testing. The Manual Tester will work closely with the development team to identify and report bugs, verify fixes, and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team and project stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the software application. Test Case Design: Create detailed, clear, and effective test cases based on project requirements and design specifications. Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to identify defects, ensuring the software meets quality standards and functional requirements. Defect Reporting: Document and report defects with clear and concise information, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and that new changes do not introduce new defects. Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to communicate testing progress, issues, and results. Quality Advocacy: Advocate for quality assurance best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process. Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by formal test cases. Adherence to Standards: Ensure adherence to testing standards, guidelines, and best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in manual testing of software applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex test cases. Good understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies. Knowledge of defect tracking tools and test management tools. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
