Job Description
- To identify the patient before performing a collection
- To screen and collect sample from the patients
- To collect the correct amount of sample for the ordered test
- To label the collection correctly
- To choose the appropriate collection equipment
- To transport lab specimens responsibly
- To communicate and interact effectively with patients and other medical professionals
- To apply laboratory terminology to lab procedures
- To understand and practice ethical behavior
- To get training as and when needed
- To maintain documentation and records
- To make patients comfortable during the procedure and to monitor vital signs
- To maintain the integrity of the sample and collect adequate amount
- To do Home Visit for collection as an when required
- To comply with patient safety policy.
- To ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system
