Job Description
- SUMMARY As an Engineer II, you will report to the Senior Manager and bring 4 to 7 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). You will have expertise in open-source tools, telemetry, monitoring, and CI/CD tools such as TFS, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Jenkins, including creating and troubleshooting new build/release pipelines. This role requires flexibility to work in shifts and involves managing Linux systems, cloud environments, automation, and SRE processes while ensuring reliable and secure operations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide systems support for Linux environments, including server deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Manage cloud infrastructure with at least 2+ years of experience in AWS, OCI, or GCP. Utilize Ansible and Ansible Tower for automation (Playbooks, Inventories, Scheduling, Repository Management). Work with clustering technologies, server farming techniques, and load-balancing tools such as F5 Big-IP. Implement disaster recovery techniques, including backup, restoration, replication strategies, failover, and recovery. Use CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and IaC tools like Terraform to streamline processes. Configure and maintain tools like Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, and LDAP. Employ automation technologies for rapid deployment of server builds and software releases. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to guide projects and ensure solution delivery. Mentor team members and provide governance and oversight on implementation. Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to work overtime when necessary. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in build/release pipelines, automation, and container-as-a-service (CaaS). Hands-on experience with automated builds, releases, and deployment processes. Knowledge of industry standards for efficient and quality delivery and deployments. Experience creating and reviewing deployment plans, scheduling installations, and ensuring smooth upgrades. Proficiency in aligning IT security and IT operations teams to maintain safe and secure processes, including DevOps workflows. Familiarity with clustering technologies, server farming, and load balancing tools. Expertise in disaster recovery methods, including replication strategies and failover techniques. Demonstrated leadership in analytical and design activities aligned with organizational standards.,
