Job Description
- Summary As an Engineer II, your role will be under the supervision of the Senior Manager. You are expected to bring 4 to 7 years of experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This experience should include a solid understanding of open-source technologies, telemetry, and monitoring. You should also be proficient with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps (ADO), and Jenkins. Your responsibilities will include creating and troubleshooting new build/release pipelines. Given the dynamic nature of this role, flexibility to work in shifts is a requirement Primary Responsibilities Provide systems LINUX support in an IT environment, preferably in a technical industry, including server deployment, monitoring, and support. Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, OCI, and GCP. Utilize ANSIBLE & Ansible Towers for playbook, inventories, scheduling, and repo management. Apply knowledge of clustering technologies, server farming techniques, load balancing, and F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing. Implement Disaster Recovery techniques including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery. Use automation technologies for rapid deployment of server builds and software deployment. Install and configure Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, LDAP. Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to work overtime when necessary. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 5+ years of experience in systems LINUX support. 2+ years of experience in AWS/OCI/GCP. Experience with ANSIBLE & Ansible Towers. Knowledge of SRE process, Monitoring, Telemetry & CI/CD (AzDevOps), and IAC tools - Terraform. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies and adapt to them. Ability to provide governance & oversight to guide implementation towards solution delivery. Excellent communication & collaboration skills. SME in build & release, automations, CAAS & various other technical capabilities. Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery.,
