- Job Title: Network Engineer -(Palo Alto & Check Points) Location: Chennai ( Work From Office) Experience: 2-5years Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 Network Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of Palo Alto and Check Point security appliances, ensuring the integrity and security of our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Monitor Security Events: Continuously monitor security logs and alerts from Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Incident Response: Assist in responding to security incidents by analyzing alerts, documenting findings, and escalating issues as necessary. Configuration Management: Support the configuration and deployment of firewall rules, policies, and VPNs under the guidance of senior engineers. User Management: Help manage user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network security configurations, changes, and incidents. Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues. Stay Informed: Keep up to date with the latest security threats and best practices in network security. Qualifications: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs). Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks and Check Point security technologies is a plus. Experience with security monitoring tools and practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CCNA, or similar) are a plus but not required. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of firewall rule management and network security policies. Experience with SIEM tools or security incident management processes.
