- Job Title: Distribution Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Distribution Design Engineer to join our team. As a Distribution Design Engineer, you will design overhead and/or underground distribution facilities for projects such as pole replacement, cable replacement, and reconductoring. You will prepare design sketches, cost estimates, and bills of materials. Additionally, you will perform distribution system design calculations and prepare design documents for construction, including plan and profiles, structure loadings, design details, trench and conduit drawings, and equipment specifications. Hard Skills Design overhead and/or underground distribution facilities Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, and bill of materials Perform distribution system design calculations Prepare design documents for construction Experience with AutoCAD/DDS or GIS based design Knowledge of pole loading analysis using PoleForeman, SpidaCalc, or OCalc Knowledge of ike Office Job Type This is a permanent position. Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Columbus, Ohio and some days remote.
