RESUME SUMMARY
QC Welding Inspector.
Familiar with ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec VIII, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6
Responsible for the entire welding inspection at site and fabrication shop, witnessed NDT inspections of Gate Valve and piping works
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
During welding, checking essential parameters as per WPS.
Control of storage and certification of consumables.
Identification of material and stamp transfer.
Check and reviewing the materials certificates per the standard codes specifications and project requirements and Cutting Plans before Fabrication.
Review WPS as per requirements.
Conducting, witnessing and accepting WQT as per ASME Section IX.
Preparation of As- built Drawings, weld maps for shop and field Welds.
Monitoring Weld joint preparation.
Fit-up inspection, welding inspection and visual inspection.
Verification of pipe fittings and Piping Dimensions.
Review method statement of welding, fabrications and repair procedure.
Monitoring of Preheating before Welding.
Verification and approval of heat treatment procedures.
Verifying welding related machines and gauge calibration certificates.
Control welding consumables and weld defect rate as per procedure.
Monitoring Welder Performance and taking corrective action.
Hardness inspection after PWHT.
Verification of PWHT reports with respect to procedures and specifications.
Conduct dimensional inspection as per approved drawing.
Review and approval of the NDT procedures
Arrange and co-ordinate NDT activities. Evaluation of NDT results.
Inspecting and witnessing of all NDT (PT, MPT and UT Witness) based on ASME, client approved procedure and specification. Verifying and reviewing all NDT reports and documentation.
Coordinating and witnessing Wet fluorescent & non fluorescent magnetic particle testing on the vessels, exchangers as per code requirements & client specifications.
Daily / weekly / monthly reporting of QC activities to project management and client.
Attending weekly / monthly construction and management meetings.
Welding Inspection of Tie-In & Repair Weld
Checking valid date of all welding Equipments Calibration certificates (Welding machine, Ovens, Quivers Etc.)
Witness Welder Qualification Test, Fit-up Inspection, monitoring Preheating and Post Weld Heat Treatment, Visual Inspection for welding as per codes & standards. Checking the preparation of cutting, bevelling, parent material identity, and all that is not allowed according to the fabrication shop drawings.
Checking Welding Essential Variables during welding: Preheating temperature, consumables and the welding monitoring as well as amperage, volts, travel speed, heat input and inter-pass temperature according to the approved welding procedure specification (WPS).
Controlling pre-weld, during weld, post-weld, dimensional control against fabrication drawings. Interpretations of codes and standards ASME. Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows PERSONAL PROFIL
