Detailed job description - Skill Set:

Hadoop Admin

A senior Hadoop DBA who can help re-architect, build and administer Hadoop-based platforms.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ year experience in Hadoop administration.
  • Capacity planning and estimating the requirements for lowering or increasing the capacity of the Hadoop cluster.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop architecture.
  • Strong scripting/administration Skills for *nix environments.
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with HDFS, YARN, M/R, Spark, Kafka, Hive and other tools or components in the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Hadoop security installation and configuration including but not limited to Ranger, Knox. Designing, developing and implementing workloads for write-optimized, read-optimized, analytical, needle-in-a-haystack use cases in Hadoop.
  • Evaluating reliability, performance and scalability in Hadoop and other related components. Automating user/resource (de)provisioning and administrative functions in Hadoop
