- Job Title: Migration Engineer - SBCaaS AWS Migration Location: India Employment Type: Contract/Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Migration Engineer to join our team for a critical project involving the migration of Session Border Controller (SBC) products from Cloud Platform (VCP) to AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud migrations, network configurations, and VoIP technologies, as well as a strong understanding of AWS services and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution Manage and oversee the migration of 400 SBCs for 120 customers from Cloud to AWS. Develop detailed migration plans, including pre-checks, execution, and post-validation steps. Conduct phased cutovers, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Deployment and Configuration Create High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for migration tasks. Configure SBCs in AWS to match the configurations of their counterparts in Cloud. Perform network assessments, ensuring readiness and security compliance. Testing and Validation Conduct pilot testing for various product types to validate migration templates. Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address any identified issues. Generate and maintain documentation, including runbooks, process documents, and SOPs. Support and Troubleshooting Provide two days of hypercare support post-migration for immediate troubleshooting. Collaborate with clients during migration windows to resolve customer-facing issues. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer Prepare detailed documentation for each migration phase, including reports and logs. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth handover to operations teams. Compliance and Communication Adhere to Verizons Change Advisory Board (CAB) protocols and AWS security standards. Coordinate with clients to secure maintenance windows and validate customer devices. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud migration or network engineering. Proven experience with SBC products (Session Border Controller, TPUC, VCMT). Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with network architecture, routing, security, and monitoring tools. Skills: Expertise in High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation. Proficiency in troubleshooting and issue resolution during cloud migrations. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced Networking. Experience working with systems and protocols. Familiarity with SIP trunking and enterprise VoIP systems. Work Schedule: Migration activities will primarily occur during weekends. Preparatory tasks to be performed during regular business hours.,
