Job Description
- We are looking for a highly skilled DB Tester (urgently) - Big Data. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of customer data across various systems. This role requires expertise in testing Big Data environments, validating data from multiple sources to targets, and working with technologies such as MongoDB, SQL, Big Data technologies, and Python. You will work closely with development teams to ensure the seamless migration and transformation of data. Key Responsibilities: Customer Data Validation: Validate customer data migration, ensuring that data from legacy systems aligns with target systems in terms of structure, integrity, and accuracy. Test ELT Processes: Test Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) processes to verify that data is correctly extracted from source systems, transformed according to business rules, and loaded into target platforms. Source-Target Data Validation: Perform rigorous source-to-target validation, comparing data between source and destination systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of data migration. Data Integrity Checks: Ensure that the data retains its integrity during migration, transformation, and loading. Identify data anomalies and discrepancies and work with developers to resolve them. Big Data Testing: Work with large-scale datasets, ensuring the testing process big data technologies. Automation of Data Testing: Implement automated testing frameworks for data validation, reducing manual efforts and improving test coverage and efficiency. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback on data quality, and ensure successful data migration. Reporting and Documentation: Document test cases, defects, and results clearly, maintaining test logs and providing status reports on testing progress to management. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as a Database Tester or Data Quality Analyst, with a strong background in Big Data testing and Customer Data Platform (CDP) validation. Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, SQL, Big Data technologies Testing Skills: Knowledge of test methodologies, including ETL testing, data migration, data integrity checks, and source-to-target validation.
