Job Description
What you ll be doing.
The work you'll be doing will support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building world class solutions. Under the mentorship of senior applications staff, you will work as a team member on various projects to develop, implement and maintain this important application.
- Supporting efficient and reliable applications with front end and backend technologies keeping security in mind.
- Executing Support development life cycle (SDLC) build, deploy, test, release and support.
- Acting independently, at the same time displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.
- Building reusable process and libraries for betterment of support.
Where you ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we re looking for.
You are curious about new technologies and the possibilities they create. You enjoy the challenge of supporting applications while exploring ways to improve upon the technology. You are driven and motivated, with strong communication and analytical skills.
You ll need to have:
- Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in prod support with Shell scripting, Jenkins pipeline, log analysing, DB validations and sanity testing.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A Master degree.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in AWS, Kubernetes and GCP.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodology.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
