- Job Description: The candidate will be part of Global team in charge of the design-development of POS application for retail industry for a complex application. You will be part of a global team, contributing to software development for a market leader for retail solutions. Candidate will be part of the data platform development team for POS applications Role: The candidate as Principal Engineer, will be leading project team to design/develop point of sale (POS) applications. The candidate will be responsible for customer interaction, Requirements analysis, design, delivery and quality of deliverables. Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience Activities: Candidate will participate in following activities: Involved into requirements analysis and components design. Shall be independently handling a complex program or application (Design & Development) Foresee issues/risks and take corrective measures. Ensure quality of implementation as per the defined standards Create design for the different modules of the data platform and develop prototypes for the design. Software development of new functions and unit testing for the same. Technically guiding and supporting the team Customer handling on technical issues and support. Skill: Mandatory Technical Skills: Expert level programming with Python, REST API, FAST API Good understanding of Object Oriented programming concepts and its application Good understanding of Data structures and algorithms Hands-on development experience on Micro services Hands on experience on Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger Experience in AWS Cloud services like EC2, S3, Lambda Pyspark expertise Good problem solving and Estimation skills Database expertise (SQL) Code review and design review skills Nice to have technical skills: Domain knowledge of Retail industry. Good understanding of data bricks, Lakehouse architecture Experience in dealing with production issues,
