Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - Software Asset Management with Flexera expertise Operations We are seeking a skilled Software Asset Manager with expertise in Flexera to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management, optimization, and compliance of our software assets using the Flexera platform. This role requires a deep understanding of software licensing, vendor management, and IT asset management best practices, coupled with proficiency in leveraging Flexera solutions to drive cost savings, mitigate compliance risks, and enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities Utilize Flexera's suite of tools to manage and optimize software licenses across the organization, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and minimizing overspend. Collaborate with procurement, IT, and finance teams to establish and maintain accurate inventories of software assets, including licenses, entitlements, and usage data. Develop and implement software asset management (SAM) policies, processes, and procedures to standardize practices and ensure consistency across the organization. Conduct regular audits and assessments of software usage and licensing compliance, identifying areas for optimization and cost savings opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert on Flexera solutions, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on software license management and optimization strategies. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate software license agreements, and optimize contract terms and conditions to maximize value and minimize risks. Generate reports and dashboards using Flexera's reporting tools to track key performance indicators, measure savings, and demonstrate the value of software asset management initiatives. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in software asset management, continually seeking opportunities for process improvements and optimization. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and Flexera support teams, escalating issues and driving resolution of technical challenges or system issues. Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's overall IT asset management strategy, aligning SAM initiatives with broader business objectives and priorities Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Should have rich experience in software asset management, IT procurement, or related roles, with specific expertise in utilizing Flexera solutions. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills Strong understanding of software licensing models, contract negotiations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting software usage data, license entitlements, and compliance reports. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Certifications in software asset management (e.g., CSAM, ISO/IEC 19770) and Flexera (e.g., Flexera Certified Administrator) are preferred. Experience with other software asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow Software) is a plus.
