- CLIENT: Global Engineering Solutions company undertaking wide portfolio of engineering services. Has secured significant projects in the Middle East to enhance high-voltage electricity grids. Looking for Electrical Design Engineers in Power Transmission & Distribution domain to work in GLOBAL CAPABILITY CENTRE in Gurgaon. Job Summary: Review & execute Primary Design & Engineering Activities for AIS / GIS Substation Projects covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods. Lead a team of Design Engineers and manage Engineering activities within budget,on time maintaining a high quality of engineering. Key Drivers: Review & check design & sizing calculations of primary engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client. Review of designs, calculations & drawings and ensure their timely submissions after obtaining approvals from customer. Coordinate with other departments including Inter-departmental checks covering, Electrical, Civil/ Structural, MEP etc. Design Calculations including Power (MV/LV) Transformer Capacity Sizing, Cable Sizing, Voltage drop estimation for LV/HV System. Provide clarification of issues w.r.t. vendors and ensuring timely delivery of materials at project site. Incumbent Profile: Substation & Transmission Line Design Engineer with experience in both Air insulated & Gas insulated Substations upto 765kV Projects. Detailed knowledge of Substation equipment and their Layouts. Understanding of primary engineering activities covering SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing etc. He should be capable of performing design & sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, DG, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, calculations (Short circuit force, Sag tension, CCC etc.).
