• Managing budgets
• Preparing cash projections for senior management
• Enhancing profitability by organising and delivering an appropriate range of fitness activities and programmes
• Using information related to foot traffic and popularity of hourly classes to improve timetables and cope with fluctuations in demand
• Designing and coordinating marketing campaigns for the club
• Designing and promoting activities that respond to customer demand
• Keeping statistical and financial records
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Maintaining customer service standards
• Ensuring that members and patrons are receiving outstanding levels of customer service
• Dealing with enquiries, complaints and emergencies
• Maintaining fitness equipment
• Managing inventory and order supplies and equipment when necessary
• Arranging for maintenance, insurance, repairs and cleaning
• Overseeing the activities of coaches and club support personnel
• Undertaking administrative tasks
