Program Manager - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Zeomega Infotech

Job Description

This position contributes to ZeOmega's success by building and leading high performing Agile scrum teams. Program Manager partners closely with product planning in aligning product priorities, forms and leads the product planning sprints, champions continuous improvement, and partners with cross-department scrum teams in the responsive delivery of solutions. The role plays a crucial role in contributing to the emergence of a healthy, effective Agile Practice and serves as a mentor and coach for the product planning team. Models and acts following ZeOmega's guiding principles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guiding the planning team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers

Guiding the planning team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

Guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.

Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

Manage product life cycle for the roadmap items for timely delivery and closure of epics

Track, publish and report on initiatives from planning to release with appropriate dashboards in Jira

Must be able to communicate well with teams

Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team

Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.

Facilitates multiple Scrum Teams, ensuring timely delivery with quality to achieve product roadmap goals

Communicate with other management, developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues.

Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

Make sure that team following agile/scrum in each sprint at user story and epic level as per the Definition of Done (DOD)

Inspect and adapt Scrum implementation towards an efficient and scalable practice

• Expand and evangelize the Scrum framework to seamlessly integrate and motivate all divisions in our Business Intelligence department, not just engineering
• Act as an agent of change to challenge and improve processes, tools, and behaviors
• Define - and continuously refine - how teams and the organization can measure effectiveness and productivity
• Ensure consistency of Scrum best practice across all groups
• Recommend process improvements to gain efficiency as needed
• Well versed with Jira platform and reporting capabilities

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: BTech / BE/M Tech / MCA/ BSc/ MSc or equivalent.

Requirements & eligibility

Experience of 2+ Years as a Scrum Master in a product software development setting or as a Product Owner or Analyst

Preferred CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

Proven history of inspecting, adapting and scaling Agile practices at other organizations

Ability to lead from behind - empower teams to take ownership of their work and consistently improve

Passion for Agile coaching and evangelization

Ability to balance process and standards with the unique needs of a team or an organization

Experience: 8 -12 years of experience in relevant technology and industry.
