Job Description
We are conducting walk-in interview for below positions
POSITION 1
GAE ENGINEER Skill Requirements
1. Define and maintain aesthetic gap and flush target requirements
2. Analyze, Define and maintain BiW , Exterior and Interior datum targets, as per 3-2-1 principle (reference system)
3. Perform tolerance calculation for BiW, Exterior and Interior Build Tolerance simulation/analysis models in RDnT software environment
4. Find solutions to deviations from tolerance calculations
5. Attend project regular meetings, understand and gather necessary inputs, resolve queries - Interact closely with local and onsite GAE counterparts, Product development engineers, Studio engineers, etc
6. Perform functional tolerance calculations apart from Gap and Flush area
7. Below are the GAE Deliverables which are created by using RDnT software:
1. Pre Tolerancing document, which captures datum targets and GD&T callouts of the component
2. Gap Flush document, which captures nominal values with tolerances of gap and flush requirements for different interfaces
3. Measurement Points document, which captures feature points on components for which measurement will be done and reported
4. Tolerance calculation model, created using RDnT software 1. 3-2-1 principle, GD&T application Define datum targets, apply GD&T callouts to BiW, Exterior and Interior components, assign tolerances
2. Tolerance Stackup Linear and 3D tolerance analysis
3. Knowledge about Aesthetical Gap Flush definitions and Requirements
4. Plastic and sheetmetal components manufacturing process knowledge
5. Measurements tools knowledge CMM, Measurement report analysis
6. Automotive product development knowledge, dimensional management
7. Check fixture knowledge Experience Level : 5 to 10 years Tools experience required :
Catia, RDnT/3DCS/Vis VSA or any 3D tolerance analysis software, PDM link, MS office Soft Skills

POSITION 2
CAD ENGINEER Job Requirements :
Technical :
1. Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering)
2. Minimum 5 years of experience related to Sheet Metal components design in automobile
industry .
3. Sheet metal : Stamping parts ( Exhaust)
Perform engineering calculations necessary for the product design of these components and system .
4. Good knowledge on manufacturing process of Stampings and die castings .
5. Strong working experience with CATIA V5 Surfacing and solid modelling .
Soft skills ;
1. Experience working in cross cultural teams will be an added advantage .
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills
POSITION 3 DESIGN CHECKER
Education : BE (Mechanical / Automobile) / Diploma engg. Experience : * 7-10 years of experience in Product Development in automotive background.
* Good knowledge of GD&T and drawing reading & analyzing skills With GTTC or NTTF or CIPET (Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology) background.
* Profiles with real time design check or drawing check experiences are preferred.
* Strong networking abilities and communication skills.
* Basic tool knowledge (catia, pro/e, solid edge) & PDM softwares in automotive domain will be added advantage. Skill Requirements : * Design experience in automotive and design check experience.
* Good understanding of GD&T practices and its applications.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Analytical aptitude.
* Basic CAD tool knowledge.
* Supportive & collaborative attitude
* Mindset driven to make things happen in the organization
* Culture awareness Job Responsibilities : * Design check activity for GTT.
* Analyze in terms of component manufacturability.
* Study and analyze ISO standards and Instructions.
* Coordinate with other checkers to manage / balance workload.
* Kola documentation.
* Support in release activities.
POSITION 4 TOLERANCE STACK - UP
* We are only looking for a person with proper stack up knowledge(2D & 3D)
* Good knowledge on GD&T
* 4 to 6 years of experience.
* Automotive background would be beneficial with prior 3D stack up tool
* knowledge (either RD&T, 3DCS or other similar software) mandatory. Soft skills ;
1. Experience working in cross cultural teams will be an added advantage .

POSITION 5 CAD engineer Powertrain components
As a CAD engineer, your tasks shall be : * To create CAD modules and drawings using Creo-Parametric, according to the VOLVO standards
* Manage part numbers, structure and release administration in Bill of Material system (KOLA)
* Perform initial design concepts, lay-outs/schematics through to detailing & final release.
* Communicate effectively with local/global counterparts at every stage of design and participate in design reviews, as per need.
* Support component engineers / simulation engineers as required and provide valuable design inputs.
* To manage multiple work packages efficiently, adhering to strict timelines and commitment to quality.
* Perform basic hand calculations / initial structural analyses.
* Be creative in proposing new concepts/ideas for design improvement, process improvement, cycle time reduction etc. Qualifications and Requirements : * Mechanical Engineering Graduate or equivalent education.
* At least 5 years of experience in Powertrain area using Pro-E/ Creo_Parametric and overall 3-5 years in CAD/Drafting jobs.
* Good exposure to engine, transmission and axle components.
* Very strong modeling and drawing skills in any one or more of the following areas : Complex castings/forgings (or) sheetmetal/stamped parts (or) rotating parts (or) accessories, pipes, tubes, hardware.
* Strong knowledge of modeling procedures / drafting practices, manufacturing processes and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
* Fundamental knowledge on mechanics, design guidelines for parts like sheet metal, castings, pipes/tubes, joint design, hardware etc.
* Exposure to DFM/DFA, FMEA, packaging requirements.
* Good working knowledge of PDM_Link. Knowledge of KOLA and exposure to FEA are definite advantages.
* Ability to multi-task and work independently.
* Good in presentation and clear communication. POSITION 6 Interiors/Exteriors Engineer,
Job roles & Responsibilities : * Design for durability, assembly, aftermarket and corrosion. Ensures that designs meet the structural and ergonomic requirements as defined by the customer and any market regulations.
* Conduct regular design reviews to assure that designs meet required specifications.
* Work closely with manufacturing, quality control and purchasing for the implementation of new products.
* Work with suppliers to coordinate prototyping activities and to insure design expectations are met.
* To develop, maintain & communicate a common way of working concerning a clear & easy understandable product structure.
* Experience of working with suppliers to lead the development activities with a good level of product development cycle understanding.
* Experience with vehicle products design and manufacturing, preferably in an industry or environment similar to that of Volvo.
* Experience in Automotive regulations is added plus. Experience Level : 5 to 8 years Technical Knowledge Expectation : Interiors :
* Hands-on experience in Plastics and Metal Engineering Technology (Injection Modeling, Metal Forming)
* Interior Automotive experience preferably in IP, DP, CCB, Air Vents.
* Quality Tools experience, MFG Process knowledge Plastic Tooling, Fixtures etc is must.
* Vehicle Regulatory knowledge (FMVSS, ECE, AIS) will be an added advantage
* Tolerance calculation and Quality Tools (FMEA, RCA, Risks).
* Automotive product development knowledge, dimensional management
* Checking fixture knowledge. Exteriors :
* Experience of designing & developing plastic and Sheet metal components for automotive applications.
* Experience of product development within exterior environment such as Bumper system, Ingress/Egress system, Front under-run protection system of commercial vehicles and/or cars.
* Possess sound knowledge in Problem solving techniques by effectively using Quality tools such as 8D/ FTA.
* Knowledge about Commercial Vehicle regulations and Certification activities.
* Hands on experience in tooling (Die, Press/Injection Mold/Die-cast) is preferred.
* Quality Tools experience, MFG Process knowledge Metal forming, Plastic Tooling, Fixtures etc.
* Vehicle Regulatory knowledge (FMVSS, ECE, AIS) will be an added advantage
* Tolerance calculation and Quality Tools (FMEA, RCA, Risks).
