Job Description

The Role Design architecture solutions that are in line with the long-term business objectives of BT Support end-to-end design of data and data platform architectures in the cloud environment Design a data infrastructure that supports complex data analytics services including BI, analytical solutions and AI/ML Analyse and resolve architectural problems, working closely with engineering, data science and operations teams Provide architectural assessments and share best practices, reference architectures, and patterns for use across data engineering and wider architecture communities Requirements Good understanding of data in the context of business strategy and benefits including the risks associated Solid understanding of key architecture concerns such as availability, scalability, operability and maintainability Knowledge of and experience of the application of modern architectural principles and patterns Hands-on experience in development, deployment and operation of cloud technologies and platforms such as GCP (preferred), AWS or Azure Experience with other data platforms such as Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka etc.) and Data Warehouses Working knowledge of integration and DevOps components such as API, dockers, Kubernetes, Jenkins Experience in delivery of end-to-end AI/ML systems and visualisation tools Familiarity with programming languages and scripting,
