- About the Role: We're looking for a passionate and experienced Staff Engineer - Frontend to join our growing engineering team. This isn't just another frontend role you'll be a technical leader, shaping the architecture and evolution of our cutting-edge web applications. You'll be instrumental in crafting exceptional user experiences, ensuring our products are performant, scalable, and easy to maintain. Responsibilities: Architect, develop, and maintain complex, high-performance frontend applications using React, Redux, and other modern JavaScript technologies. Lead the design and implementation of reusable UI components and patterns, building a robust and consistent design system. Drive technical decisions and contribute significantly to our frontend architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability, accessibility, and security. Champion frontend best practices, from code quality and testing to efficient deployment processes. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring amazing user experiences to life. Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow. Stay on top of the latest trends and technologies in frontend development, always looking for ways to improve our systems. Contribute to open-source projects (always a plus!). Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback we believe in learning from each other. Participate in technical roadmap planning and execution. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in frontend development, with a deep understanding of JavaScript. Proven expertise in React and Redux. Experience building and maintaining UI component libraries. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and performance optimization techniques. Experience with modern frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Parcel, Vite) and package managers (npm, yarn, pnpm). Solid understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library). Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent communication and collaboration skills we're a team! Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with micro-frontend architecture. Familiarity with GraphQL and related technologies. Experience with web performance optimization tools and techniques. Knowledge of design systems and component libraries (Storybook, Chromatic). Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Contributions to open-source projects. Understanding of backend technologies and APIs. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of emerging frontend technologies (e.g., Web Components, Svelte, SolidJS).
