Job Description About this Team: The AI Experimentation Platform (AIEP) team, a key component of the Data and AI Platform (DAP) technology organization within Visa, is at the forefront of harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency. As a Software Engineer (Sr. Consultant) you will have the unique chance to make a direct and meaningful impact by delivering solutions that powers AI systems.You will design, enhance, and build solutions dealing with the next generation AI/ML and GenAI technology and be an agent of transformation. We deliver and support strategic goals and have a lasting impact on our enterprise. We aim to stay ahead of the curve adapting to the advancement of ML/AI and keep our business miles ahead of our competitors. Essential Functions: Identify appropriate technical solutions and designs that will best prepare the company to meet present and future business objectives. Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new platform and application solutions. Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. Responsibilities span all phases of solution development. Providing oversight, guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved. Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner. Engagement in requirements definition and clarification in collaboration with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of the business needs is important. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD Expert programming in at least one or more programming like Java or JavaScript Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures Experience in building and supporting scalable software solutions and/or enterprise platforms. Experience in developing Single Page Applications using Angular or React and Java with frameworks like Spring Comprehensive understanding of database design and management systems (both SQL and NoSQL), expertise in performance optimization, data security, data modelling etc. along with the ability to adapt new database technologies. Hands-on system design experience in large scale projects including user interface, data structures and cloud architecture. Previous experience in establishing standards, setting up knowledge sharing sessions, and participating in company-wide projects within Engineering Basic understanding of Big Data technologies, notably Hadoop for distributed data storage and Spark for large-scale data processing Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
