- Job Description As a BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization tools. This is a contractual position for 5-6 years, focusing on delivering impactful business intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. Design and optimize data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval. Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business objectives. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions. Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and testing. Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability. Provide technical expertise and support to troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues. Document technical specifications, data flows, and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5-6 years of experience as a BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role. Proven experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL). Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g, SSIS, Informatica, Talend). Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView). Understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certification in BI or Data Engineering (e.g, Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate, Certified Business Intelligence Professional). Experience with big data technologies (e.g, Hadoop, Spark). Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g, Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Previous experience in a contractual or consulting role.
