Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and Big Data system specifications. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored for Big Data environments. Manual Testing: Execute test cases to ensure data transformation processes are accurate and complete. Data Validation: Validate data ingestion and extraction procedures for accuracy and consistency. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, anomalies, and data quality issues. Big Data Technologies: Use Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and related tools to support your testing efforts. Query Execution: Write and execute complex queries in SQL, HiveQL, or other query languages to validate data processing. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to confirm that previously identified issues have been resolved and new changes are free of defects. Test Suite Maintenance: Maintain and update regression test suites for Big Data applications. Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data engineers, and data scientists to understand data processing logic and resolve issues. Communication: Effectively communicate test results, progress, and risks to project stakeholders. Jira Knowledge: Demonstrate good understanding of Jira and various testing methodologies.
