Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment / System in order to ensure smooth network & Complete IT operation.


Responsibilities and Duties
1. Maintain network and system security.
2. Disaster recovery planning
3. Maintain system (Platform: Windows/ Mac) and Network efficiency.
4. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
5. Routine Support to users for system & network.
6. Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
7. Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
8. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

Your Day- to- day:

1. Diagnose hardware and software (Windows/ Linux/ Mac platform) problems and replace defective components.
2. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
3. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
4. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
5. Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
6. Perform routine network start up and shutdown procedures and maintain control records.
7. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
8. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
9. Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
10. Maintain L3 Switches, LAN, VLAN, Wi- Fi Devices & Network security Device (Firewall etc).
11. Analyse equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.
12. Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
13. Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.
14. Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel in order to facilitate purchases.
15. Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, DFS and other services as well.
16. All type of Support to users for all the locations (Local/ Remote).
17. Maintain Software Licensing / compliances.

Personal characteristics:

1. Adaptability: technologies change over time. Network and system administrators must feel comfortable enough with their abilities so that they do not resist the replacement of a well- understood legacy technology with an emerging technology.
2. Desire to Learn: Going forward, network administrators will be faced with a widening array of technologies that they will have to support. In order to be successful, network administrators must look forward to learning about these new technologies.
3. Ability to Learn: Being both willing and excited about learning is necessary for success, but it is not sufficient. To be successful, network administrators must have the capability to learn about new technologies primarily from on- the- job experience supplemented by whatever the network administrator can gather from reading a manual or a book.
4. Responsiveness: While eliminating problems is certainly the goal, it is not always possible. In those cases where there is a problem, it is important for the network administrator to respond quickly to the problem ideally before the end user is impacted.


Key Skills
System administrator on Platform (Windows/ Mac), Domain Controller (AD/ DNS/ DHCP/ Group Policy), Virtualisation (Hyper- VMware etc.), Network Administration., Firewall, Router & Switch (Managed/ Unmanaged), LAN/ VLAN, Monitoring Tools (System/ Network Performance)


Required Experience and Qualifications
- Any Degree.
- 5-8 Year experience
- Certification in any networking course would be a plus.
