Job Description
- Work on complete lifecycle of Ultrasonic Flow Meter products Engineering Design Development to meet the industry codes standards for quality, performance and functional requirements.
Representative Duties:
Mechanical design and support for Gas and Liquid Ultrasonic meters
- Support new product development and utilize advance engineering practices eg Nx FEA, assist verification validation etc
- Automate design process by utilizing Advance Nx capabilities, MS Excel, MathCAD etc
- Work closely with Peers and Supervisor and assure quality with quickest possible turnaround time
- Design of Line size extensions
- Design of test fixtures for research and prototyping
- Support of product configurators
- Support transfer of new designs to production
- Perform Engineering Calculations per industry design codes including piping standards, safety standards, and government standards like ASME, UL, IEC ATEX. (Including national and international standards)
- Creation, checking and releasing new part numbers in Enovia
- Bill of Specification and Bill of Material creation
- Work closely with MMI Engineering Manager in Boulder/Houston/EDE Engineering Group at EICP
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor s in mechanical engineering (similar or higher)
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in Engineering Design of Products to Oil Gas Market
Technical skills:
- Proficient in 3D modelling, 2D drafting and Assembly in Siemens Teamcenter
- Proficient in Bill of Specification and Bill of Material creation in Dassault System PLM Enovia
- Good knowledge of Drafting standards, Part Assembly Modeling Practices
- Good application Knowledge of Tolerance Stack up Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances (GDT)
- Knowledge of Material specifications, design standards for Casting, Forged Parts Assemblies
- Understanding of Manufacturing process of Metal Parts
- Knowledge of Welding standards and application for design of cast and forged parts
- Understanding of applying machining tolerances for cast forged parts
- Perform Engineering Calculations to verify the design
- Knowledge of Creation and releasing new part numbers in Oracle or any ERP system
- Knowledge of Bill of Material and Bill of Specification creation
- Knowledge of creating exploded views and rendering in Siemens Teamcenter Nx
Other required skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a global engineering team
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with local and global team members.
- Should be willing to work at various time zones of customers also willing to travel to the US on a short-term (30 days or less) basis.
