- About Raptee Energy Raptee Energy is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI. Job Summary This internship offers practical experience, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities for networking within the GIS and tech community. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have proficiency in GIS software, basic programming skills, and a keen interest in geospatial technologies. Roles And Responsibilities Assist in the development and maintenance of GIS applications, tools, and databases. Create, style and optimise Raster (XYZ) map tiles through GIS softwares. Create and manage GIS data, including data acquisition, conversion, and integration. Perform spatial analysis and generate maps, tiles, reports, and other geospatial products. Support GIS projects through data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimise GIS workflows. Document processes, workflows, and GIS methodologies. Stay updated with GIS trends, technologies, and best practices. Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong interest in GIS, spatial analysis, and geospatial technologies. Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS). Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar. Familiarity with Cloud solutions like Google Cloud Platform or AWS is a plus. Familiarity with web mapping frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, OpenLayers) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
