Senior DevOps Engineer @ Global Technologies

Job Description

4+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, CloudFront, S3, RDS)
2 + Years of Python or GO scripting experience ((Mandatory)
Working experience in Terraform (Mandatory)
Trouble Shooting Experience with Monitoring+Alerting (Mandatory)

Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
Expertise using Chef for configuration management
Ability to create custom scripts in bash, python, ruby or PHP
Hands on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins and deploying applications on AWS
Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Bias for action and ownership
Engineering Degree from a school of repute

Bonus Skills of Interest:

Previous startup experience is a plus
Experience hosting and maintaining PHP websites at scale
Familiarity with PHP, Apache, Elasticsearch, MySQL, PostGreSQL
AWS and/or Chef Certifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
Work collaboratively with operations and software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
