Job Description
- We are looking for a talented and motivated **Power BI Developer** to join our growing data analytics team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying interactive and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modeling, visualization best practices, and be passionate about delivering actionable insights through compelling and user-friendly business intelligence solutions. *Key Responsibilities:** Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs. Create and manage Power BI data models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for reporting. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights. Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, cloud data sources (e.g., Azure), and APIs, using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring that they can handle large datasets and provide real-time insights. Develop and implement custom calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX. Create and manage Power BI workspaces, reports, and datasets, ensuring data security and access control. Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accurate reporting and resolve any data discrepancies. Provide training and support to end-users, helping them interpret and interact with Power BI reports. Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices, recommending new techniques and solutions to improve the reporting experience. Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Data Engineers, Data Scientists) to ensure data integration and alignment with business goals. *Required Skills and Qualifications:** Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Proven experience (2+ years) as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI/reporting role. Strong experience with Power BI desktop and Power BI service, including data transformation, modeling, and report/dashboard creation. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query. Strong knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices to deliver clear and insightful reports. Experience with connecting and integrating data from various sources, such as SQL databases, cloud services, and APIs. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues. Knowledge of data security and access control features within Power BI. Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions. *Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus. Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake) and cloud-based data solutions. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams. Experience with custom visuals and embedding Power BI reports into other applications. Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.,
