Performance Test Engineer Job in Cognizant

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Technology Specialist with 6 to 9 years of experience proficient in Appdynamics Jmeter and Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Production Planning and Control within the Industrial Manufacturing domain. This role involves optimizing application performance ensuring system reliability and contributing to the overall efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Lead the implementation and optimization of Appdynamics to monitor application performance and ensure system reliability. Oversee the use of Jmeter for performance testing identifying bottlenecks and providing actionable insights. Provide expertise in Java development ensuring high-quality code and efficient application functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance monitoring tools into the development lifecycle. Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and recommend solutions to improve system performance. Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and scenarios using Jmeter. Ensure that all applications meet the required performance standards and SLAs. Work closely with the Production Planning and Control team to align IT solutions with manufacturing processes. Implement best practices for performance testing and monitoring in an industrial manufacturing environment. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and other stakeholders. Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing and monitoring processes. Document all performance testing and monitoring activities ensuring transparency and traceability. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in performance testing and application monitoring. Qualifications Possess a strong understanding of Appdynamics for application performance monitoring. Have extensive experience with Jmeter for performance testing and analysis. Demonstrate proficiency in Java development and related technologies. Show a solid background in Production Planning and Control within the Industrial Manufacturing domain. Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis. Display strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
