Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of SmartTV Architect Role and Responsibilities: As Smart TV Architect: Define the technical architecture and design of our SmartTV applications, including the selection of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and APIs Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure that technical requirements are understood and incorporated into the application architecture Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team to ensure that code is efficient, scalable, and maintainable Ensure that the SmartTV applications meet technical requirements, including performance, security, and compliance with industry best practices and standards Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that the SmartTV applications align with the company's business objectives Keep up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and APIs, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications Manage relationships with external partners and vendors involved in SmartTV application development Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring that team members are trained and capable of delivering high-quality code Qualifications and Education Requirements: Must-Have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field At least 8 years of experience in SmartTV application development, with at least 3 years in an architect role Strong understanding of SmartTV platform development, including architecture, APIs, and libraries Experience with software design patterns, such as MVVM and Clean Architecture Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions Experience leading and mentoring development teams Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform Understanding of software design principles and UX best practices Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable SmartTV applications Good understanding of Focus management on TV (building custom libraries for focus or any third-party libraries) Experience or Knowledge in generating and developing builds for different flavours of smart TVs like LG, Tizen, Hisense, Netrange, Zeasn, Samsung, Vidaa, Whale OS Preferred Skills: Experience of working in Media and Communication/broadcast business domain,
