- Job Description for Data Product Owner 2 positions 1 Senior Manager (Level 6) , 1 Manager (Level 7) Position Title: Data Product Owner Location: Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai Employment Type: Full Time Must have skills Product Management, Data Product Management Good to have skills Data Lifecycle Expertise, Process Improvement, Stakeholder Engagement Job Summary As a Data Product Owner, you will manage and refine the product backlog for various data product initiatives within ADGO (Accenture Data Governance Organization), ensuring reusability and scalability to meet strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with other ADGO towerssuch as data usage rights, data governance, and data monetizationtranslating their application build requirements into actionable product roadmaps. This role involves driving process enhancements to cultivate a product-first mindset, leading cross-functional teams to develop and deliver data products, and monitoring performance metrics to enact continuous improvements. Roles & Responsibilities Product Backlog Ownership & Refinement Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog for data product initiatives, aligning features with strategic goals. Ensure backlog items emphasize reusability, scalability, and long-term value across multiple ADGO towers. Process Enhancement & Product-First Mindset Identify and implement best practices in product development, fostering a culture that values iterative improvement. Collaborate with internal teams to refine development processes, enabling efficient delivery of data products. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead and coordinate cross-functional teamsincluding developers, data architects, and business stakeholdersto deliver robust, high-impact data products. Serve as the liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity around requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Track product performance against key metrics, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders. Implement changes to product functionality or processes based on data-driven insights, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Communicate effectively with leadership, providing regular status updates, roadmaps, and risk assessments. Facilitate workshops, demos, and training sessions to drive user adoption and understanding of delivered solutions. Professional & Technical Skills Data Product Development Life Cycle Strong grasp of conceptualizing, designing, testing, and launching data-centric products. Ability to integrate data governance, usage rights, and monetization aspects into product roadmaps. Technical & Business Alignment Skilled at translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable product strategies. Comfortable working with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility. Process Optimization & Improvement Demonstrated success in implementing best practices in agile or lean product development environments. Experience in identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse teams, resolving conflicts, and aligning project objectives. Adept at balancing multiple perspectives, from technical constraints to strategic business imperatives. Strategic Thinking & Adaptability Ability to anticipate market trends and new technologies, adjusting product direction to maintain competitiveness. Proven track record of delivering solutions that meetor exceedorganizational objectives while adapting to evolving business needs.,
