Job Description

    Position Title: Key Account Manager
    Department: Axis Bank Branch Banking
    Level: Executive
    Role Summary: Support the sales of Life Insurance products through bank customers at assigned branches.

    Organizational Relationships

    • Reports To: Cluster Manager
    • Supervises: None

    Job Dimensions

    • Geographic Area Covered: Branches/Cluster
    • Internal Stakeholders: Training, Branch Operations, Distribution Operations
    • External Stakeholders: Channel Partners

    Key Result Areas

    • Sales:

      • Drive sales and increase wallet share at allocated branches with a focus on product mix.
      • Achieve preset business targets (ANP, case count, active branches, active sales staff).
      • Work closely with branch management on business implementation and motivate branch staff to log in applications and generate leads.
      • Ensure accurate documentation and effective use of branch databases.
      • Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales plans.
      • Conduct joint sales calls with the Banks sales/operations team to achieve targets.
    • Relationship Management:

      • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and channel partners.
      • Provide support to the channel partner, ensuring responsiveness to their needs.
      • Execute marketing activities in line with the partner's requirements.
      • Ensure timely policy issuance and effective post-sales service.
      • Maintain customer portfolio engagement and desired persistency ratio.
    • Compliance:

      • Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and industry standards.
      • Act as a champion of product and process adherence within the team.
      • Foster a compliance culture within the team.
    • MIS:

      • Adhere to the training roadmap and provide timely reports to supervisors.
      • Follow the TALIC code of conduct.

    Skills Required

    • Technical Skills:
      • Expertise in Life Insurance products and financial services.
      • Strong business planning and management skills.
      • Awareness of the finance/insurance industry.
      • Self-management and problem-solving abilities.
    • Behavioral Skills:
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Leadership, teamwork, and influencing skills.
      • Creative thinking and decision-making abilities.
      • Strong relationship-building skills.
    • Language Skills:
      • Proficiency in English and the local language.

    Incumbent Characteristics

    • Qualifications: Graduate (Postgraduate preferred)
    • Experience: 1-3 years in sales (preferably in insurance or financial services).
    • Age: Below 30 years.
    • Location: Moongilpadi
