This position is part of Skunkworks team focusing on fast paced innovation across the domains such as EV, Industrial systems & avionics. This team will work on product & technology development related to power conversion systems such as DC-DC, UPS, Inverters, Traction Inverters, required for more electric systems. Team is expected to have significant interactions with senior leadership & cross functional team to mature projects from ideation to Industrialization. The incumbent shall ensure

  1. Delivery defect free software system by utilizing software development life cycle processes, in line with best practices & as per the requirements of domain of interest to Eaton;
  2. Adoption and as required deployment of the processes which are domain specific in nature.
  3. Rolling out the tasks (sprints) and other key specifics required to zero defect delivery, by working with program managers and other key members,
  4. Participation of team into process simplification drives
  5. team s technical growth by engaging in technical discussion and mentoring.
  6. Software integration as part of overall Project delivery & testing (including homologation requirements);

This exciting role offers opportunity to:

  1. Design and develop embedded control systems for various product lines in the areas of electrified mobility .
  2. Develop innovative Control algorithms & architectures for products in electrified mobility space
  3. Learn and deploy processes such as ASPICE 3.1 for zero defect delivery.
  4. Drive overall system integration for product and its integration with system of interest by working with various stakeholders (Internal and External).
  5. Contribute to team s technical growth by engaging in technical discussion and mentoring.
  6. Participate and lead the process simplification, that helps in reduction of time to market, development efforts,

Required Skills:

  • Ability to decompose Requirements and identify verification & validation methods and solutions;
  • Ability to define the testing needs for the products under consideration by mapping homologation / certification requirements to product specification / systems & architectures of interest.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the Engineering V&V Tests, Design Validation Test (DVT) and Product Validation Tests for multiple products across test sites within Eaton and external partners to achieve desired timelines and within allocated resources
  • Able to plan and conduct performance, reliability/durability, investigations as required for the product line.
  • Programming Experience in C for 32bit Controllers/ DSP's.
  • Experience in Power Control system firmware Development like 4-Q converters Chargers ( >50 kW) etc.
  • Experience in working closely with Compliance team for implementing safety requirements in the product line.
  • Proven experience of development tools & version control software like SVN etc.
  • Proven experience of handling large design projects independently from concept to Release to markets ( Including After sales tools);
  • Proven experience of FW debugging at multi tasked environment. -

Proven experience in communication protocols like MODBUS/ CAN , Flex ray , RS485 etc.

Qualifications

Qualification:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering from reputed college.
    Desired: MTech in Electrical Engineering /system and controls
  • 15+ years of extensive experience in development of embedded system and solutions for electrified mobility sector and industrial sector.
  • Proven experience in industrialization of various hardware systems pertaining to Fuel cell, Chargers, UPS, and other key product lines pertaining to electrification of mobility sector
  • Proven experience in system integration and other aspects related to field deployment and after sales service
