We are looking for a talented MEP Electrical Engineer with experience in calculations, proficiency in Revit, and preferably, exposure to hospital building projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Job Responsibilities: Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems. Calculations and Analysis: Conduct electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit analysis, and other necessary calculations to ensure system performance and compliance with regulatory standards. Revit Modeling: Utilize Revit software to create detailed electrical models, collaborate with other disciplines, and ensure accurate coordination of electrical components within the overall building design. Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs and installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC, NFPA, and local building codes. Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate electrical systems with overall building design and other MEP disciplines. Documentation: Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, reports, and other documentation related to electrical systems design and implementation. Project Management Support: Provide technical support during project planning, execution, and commissioning phases, including site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting electrical systems as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on electrical systems design and calculations. Proficiency in using Revit software for electrical modelling and coordination. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards. Experience working on US-based projects or demonstrate proficiency with US standards. Experience with electrical system design in healthcare or hospital building projects is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex calculations and analyses. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with other MEP disciplines (mechanical and plumbing) and building information modeling (BIM) practices is a plus.
