Role
To manage day to day operations of Derivatives Collateral Management team. Organizes work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work. Possesses the leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to the staff. Conducts performance management and career development processes. Provides input and support to management in achieving common organizational goals.
Knowledge & Skills:
The candidate should possess the following skills:
Understands Derivatives trade lifecycle and associated functions.
Understands the way Collateral Management function and more closely has an understanding of derivatives markets
Understands the role this function plays in the entire Derivative system / set-up
Understands functions performed by Collateral Management and Collateral Managers.
Must have extremely good product knowledge about various derivative products
Exposure to cash and trade settlements.
Must be capable of implementing controls related to set-up of a Derivative product on our systems
Excellent attention to detail, and giving extreme importance to timelines and deliverables
Ability to work constructively under time pressure.
Ability to communicate with clients (Both internal and external)
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
Having experience with any of Custodial and/or Investment Management firms in a Derivatives processing area will be an added advantage
Adaptable to change
Ability to multitask and work with calm under crunch situations
Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with related departments and Middle Offices
Excellent client handling skills
