Cloud Engineer - Mumbai (All Areas) @ KnowledgeWorks Global

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and its services (e.g., VMs, storage, databases, networking, security)
• Architect and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud environments
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps
• Monitor performance metrics, analyze system health, and implement enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency
• Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance controls within Azure environments
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime
• Stay updated with the latest Azure services, industry trends, and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions
• Manage Hybrid connections and data traffic between Azure Cloud and On-prem Server Infrastructure

Knowledge and Skills:

Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure

Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services, etc.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager

Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automation

Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and Azure networking services (e.g., Virtual Networks, Load Balancers)

Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive problem resolution

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Ability to manage Identity, Access & Management (IAM) services in Azure and local AD

Ability to work on other IT initiatives and projects delegated by the Corporate IT Team
