- Produce in-depth, well-written defined and ad hoc reports, briefings, and profiles of institutional and individual prospects based on a combination of data from the donor database, available financial records and various research platforms.
- Develop target lists of corporates, foundations and executive prospects.
- Assess prospect research program effectiveness and determine new opportunities to test/use research tools.
- Develop templates and processes for various research requests.
- Educate development staff on prospecting and suggesting new methods of research and analysis.
- Be comfortable with spreadsheet based tools to develop reports from Salesforce and other internal databases.
- Organize, execute and handle prospect tracking and management system (currently google forms) to monitor routine research requests, advise development staff and support strategy meetings.
- Execute Wealth Engine, Relationship Science and Foundations Directory Online tools to research and plan for discovery program, planned giving, proposal tracking and screening.
- Ensure data accuracy within prospect research.
- Implement new research techniques as they arise, striving to design the ultimate prospect research methodology.
- Remain knowledgeable and up to date on all programs and initiatives.
