Overview :
Experience : 5+ years of relevant technical writing and content development
- Should be well-versed in DITA authoring and publishing, XML tools, networking technologies, and Agile methodology.
- Candidates should possess a strong technical aptitude to grasp complex technologies, specifically in the IT networking and software development domain. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Technical writers work with internal and external organizations to develop, plan and write/edit
- internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Writers must ensure that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Research, develop, write, and revise technical documents and documentation sets according to established standards.
- Quickly learn new technologies, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with editors and technical resources to improve document quality and usability.
- Exercise judgment, within defined procedures and practices, to determine appropriate job actions.
- Identify the moderately complex information needs of a target audience and organize and develop a documentation plan that addresses those needs.
- Ability to serve as a lead writer, providing training and guidance to junior writers.
- Contribute to initiatives that help improve content quality and usability.
- Successful completion of several writing projects.
