Job Description

B.E / B. Tech OR MCA OR M.Sc. (IT/CS) OR B.Sc. (IT/CS) : 2 to 3 Years 

 Job Description :

1. 24 / 7 support on all days including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Servers.
3. Prevention of Intruders.
4. Internet Mail Management
5. Installation and Configuration of New Servers
6. Installation of necessary Updates/upgrades / patches.
7. Data recovery support, system recovery from hardware crash. The vendor
has to provide complete tool for the same.
8. Anti-Virus installation and update on all desktops, troubleshoot problems in
Antivirus software. Coordinate with Antivirus vendor for latest patches, hot
fixes and updates for virus problems.
9. Adding servers to active directory, maintaining naming convention for
servers.
10. Routine Virus Check-up and Update
11. Anti-Virus server maintenance and operations, Exchange Server operations
and maintenance, AD server maintenance and operations.
12. Establishing Inoculation procedures and Preventive measures.
13. Security measures like assigning rights, passwords and authentications.
14. Securing servers as per MIDCs security policies.
15. Operating System Support Windows 2008 or later
16. Generating MIS reports
17. To provide automated tool for server monitoring and reports
18. Server Performance management
19. Server administrators should be able to quickly trace and resolve
performance-related bottlenecks.
20. Server administrators should report conditions that exceed thresholds and
take corrective actions in consultation with MIDC.
21. Server administrators should report conditions including inadequate free
space, runaway processes, high CPU utilization and inadequate swap space
and take corrective actions in consultation with MIDC. These historical
reports must also be usable to perform trend analysis and capacity planning.
22. Server administrators should be able to drill down through layers of data to
discover the cause of a condition occurring with the database, operating
system or network.
