Mercedes Benz Driver Assistance Systems Avoid accidents and mitigate their consequences: this is the integrated approach adopted by Mercedes-Benz Accident Research under the slogan Real Life Safety . Under the umbrella term Intelligent Drive , Mercedes-Benz is systematically pursuing this strategy with numerous new assistance systems, greatly enhanced functions and innovative protective systems. Innovative technology Sensors like Radar, Lidar and Stereo Multipurpose camera together with System Software enables the Driver Assistance System in collision warning & mitigation, lane recognition, traffic sign recognition, object recognition for avoiding crash.
About the role:The role is responsible for verifying whether all software requirements are fulfilled, whether the implementation is robust for different vehicle scenarios, for the Driver Assistance software functions. The role will have to work closely with software function developers to clarify SW requirements, define test specification, implement & deliver test cases using simulation tools, to find implementation errors.
Key responsibilities for the role:Secure well documented software requirements by clarifying with software function developer
Define test specification to verify the software requirements, ensuring traceability between SW requirements and tests
Implement software tests using frameworks such as NVidia drivesim, google test framework
Software testing of the simulation framework on Hardware in Loop and Vehicle tests with defect fixes
Troubleshooting/Debugging of System/Software issues, identify root cause and provide solution
Implement test automation using Python-based test frameworks
Abilities: Skills and knowledge:Must have good knowledge in C, Python
ISTQB certification is preferred
Experience in writing software test specifications
Strong Analytical and debugging skills
Background in Active Safety / Advanced Driver Assistance Systems within Automotive domain
Exposure to Vehicle communication standards like CAN, Flex Ray, Automotive Ethernet
Experience in Simulation platform, Vehicle Dynamics, Applied Mathematics & Physics
Experience in Version Control Tools GIT, SVN , MKS etc
Exposure to ISO26262 Functional Safety standards & ASPICE
Usage of DOORS, EA, Eclipse, QAC, JIRA etc.
Basic knowledge on Python & ISTQB certification preferred.
