- A VSAT field engineer operate rollout new installation, maintains, updates and repairs hardware and systems used across Banking, govt. and other corporate customer, ensuring that satellite connectivity should be up all the time with the highest possible level of quality.
VSAT engineers work in a team with others including Service Account manager, HUB team and other technical staff. As well as being spread across ever-expanding methods of distribution, the work of broadcast engineers takes place in a range of locations and work situations relayed live back to a studio or straight to the network.
Profile requirements
- Good it skills with knowledge of Basic Networking fundamentals.
- Exposure to good Hardware troubleshooting practices & principles.
- Exposure to telecommunication, networking, distributed computing & web technologies.
- MCSC or CCNA certification will be great plus.

ESSENTIALS:
-The nature of the work varies according to location and type of Technologies, but tasks typically involve:
- Maintaining specialist equipment for satellite communication, broadcast and satellite transmission, and interactive data;
- Setting up and monitoring data links between units in different locations;
- Installing and testing new facilities and equipment;
- Setting up and support facilities in network operations;
- Analyzing and rectifying technical faults on equipment and systems;
- Minimizing loss of service at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision;
- Keeping abreast of constant changes in technology by investigating new systems, techniques and equipment - especially new internet technologies;
- Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during link breakdown;
- Designing and installing custom audiovisual circuits;
- Repairing hardware, software and other broadcast technology systems;
- Developing and using awareness of best practice in health and safety for the workplace;
- Interpreting and implementing instructions and requests from HUB engineers, technical support team and other colleagues;
- Communicating effectively with members of one's own and other teams and project members;
- Keeping up to date with the industry by building and maintaining a network of contacts.
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Electronics / Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering with scoring 55 % at least.
Language: Hindi and English (Verbal and written).
Pay Scale: 10 K CTC to 15 K CTC. PM + TA/DA + accommodation
