- Job Description Position: Manager Logistics Qualification & Experience: Graduate / Post graduate with 15-20 years of experience in Logistics Operations especially in the EMS Industry. Organization: Cyient DLM Limited Work Location: Mysore, Karnataka (State), India. Position Summary: The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage all logistics operations with a specific focus on customs compliance, DGFT regulations, and obtaining necessary licenses such as Advance/EPCG/SCOMET. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of international trade and logistics processes. Key Responsibilities Customs Compliance: Ensure adherence to all customs regulations and procedures. Liaise with customs authorities to facilitate timely clearance of goods. Monitor changes in customs laws and regulations, and adjust practices accordingly. DGFT Coordination Manage all dealings with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Prepare and submit necessary documentation for export and import licensing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DGFT policies and procedures. Licensing Expertise Oversee the application and procurement of Advance, EPCG, and SCOMET licenses. Coordinate with relevant departments to gather required documentation and ensure timely submissions. Track and manage license renewals and compliance with license conditions. Logistics Strategy Development Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement. Vendor Management Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the logistics team, providing training on customs and regulatory requirements. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement. Reporting And Documentation Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics, customs compliance, and licensing status. Ensure accurate record-keeping of all logistics transactions and compliance documentation.,
