Job Description
Senior Quality Engineer
Experience: 5-8 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Works in parallel with the Engineering SMEs and Product Managers to create thorough, accurate, and comprehensive SQL test queries and scripts
Develop SQL and Unix scripts for test data generation or test harness automation for iterative test cycles
Update and maintain SQL scripts and test cases as applications and business rules change and identify areas of improvement
Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans
Identify potential quality issues and report issues in a timely manner
Develop and implement automation scripts to increase system efficiency and decrease human intervention in any repeated tasks
Be a strong proponent of Quality, Automation, and Test principles and be responsible for devising strategies and guiding team members on the industry's best practices.
Plan and Implement test automation guidelines and be responsible for driving those across unit, functional, non-functional, integration, performance, and deployment tests.
Able to perform risk assessments and carry out optimizations across the public cloud infrastructure, network configurations, CI/CD, and its services.
Be a gatekeeper from a technical aspect for the release readiness and new capability build-out.
Coordinate with distributed product teams across geographies, product verticals, and product managers to get to an alignment on the goals and objectives of the validation and verification techniques deployed on the cloud.
Skills and Experience required:
Strong expertise and passion for Quality Assurance, SQLE, Automation, and Cloud DevOps principles with over 7+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in carrying out testing of distributed middleware products or services, microservices, and container platforms.
Experience in defining QA strategy for a multi-tenant, SaaS product on public cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience in programming language constructs Python, Golang, or Java
Proficiency in CI / CD, Jenkins, Junit, Git, and Java/Python-based test frameworks.
Demonstrated experience driving new test creation, debugging, and troubleshooting complex deployment and customer environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
