A.S. Group is currently hiring for one of the Manufacturing Steel Wire Industries located in Mumbai
Job Details are as follows:-
Designation: Deputy Manager Purchase
Location: Chalisgaon
Experience: 10-years
Salary Range: 8,5.lpa
Job Description
Procurement of Raw Materials:
Source and purchase sheet metal, metal components, and other required materials.
Ensure the quality and quantity of materials meet production requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material needs.
Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for sheet metal and related products.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new relationships to ensure competitive pricing and supply reliability.
Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Establish long-term agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies.
Inventory Management:
Monitor sheet metal and other materials inventory levelsto prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Work closely with warehouse and production departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
Implement and improve inventory management practices.
Cost Management & Budgeting:
Monitor and control procurement expenses in line with the companys budget.
Provide regular reports on cost-saving initiatives and procurement performance.
Order Processing & Documentation:
Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, supplier agreements, and delivery documents.
Compliance & Quality Control:
Ensure all purchased materials meet the companys quality standards and industry regulations.
Work with the quality control team to address any issues with materials received.
Market Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new suppliers.
Conduct market research to identify alternative materials or suppliers that can improve cost-efficiency.
