Job Description

Roles and Responsibility

  • This role has responsibilities to support product, operational processes, manage scheme guidelines in the area of cards & payments.
  • Collaborate with CPBB Group Products in deploying new programs/ strategy for the bank
  • Lead multi-markets programs to achieve Client experience, Operational efficiency & P&L impact to the bank
  • Collaborate with Country S&T, GBS S&T in implementing S&T strategies/ processes.
  • Ensure design zero defect operational processes for the programs/ new launches
  • Ensure Visa & Mastercard operational mandates are met within timelines
  • Construct, deploy Global Processing Instructions for the Cards / Payments operational processes.
  • Collaborate with Global Sourcing in closure of the contracts.
  • Lead as a Group Business BAU owner for the Applications assigned and ensure timely closure of ICS, tech related activities.
  • Ensure the Changes/ enhancements in the Settlements application, are aligned to cater to futuristic requirements of the markets and scalable with Parameters
  • Collaborate with Multiple stakeholders (BRM , OR etc) on relevant areas and support in closure

Strategy

  • Support Global Head Personal and Biz Banking S&T, COO to drive cohesive strategy with key stakeholders in Retail Banking Product, Operations, and others by bringing technical expertise and operational design

Business

  • Understanding on Cards & Payments Business/ Operations and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in implementation of the business strategy for the targeted financial & non-financial outcomes

Processes

  • Identify and drive standardisation of processes across multiple markets in collaboration with Country & GBS stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities of automation, build business case and drive multi-markets program
  • Ensure scheme operational mandates are met within timelines and processes aligned to the changes
  • Ensure Global procedures are documented / renewed in time

People & Talent

  • Develop skills in the Cards & Payments domain. Strengthen people and build capabilities in hubs and countries

Risk Management

  • Collaborate with respective teams in building & executing risk management frameworks in Operational Processes. Ensure adherence to Bank Risk management policies, guidelines etc.

Governance

  • Ensure relevant information is shared with the respective forums and drive to build a strong risk framework in operational processes/systems

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Group S&T to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10-15 years of experience in Cards & Payments domain
  • Deep Understanding of the Operational Processes and ability to define Target Operating Model.
  • Ability to drive the programs at Global level and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Market awareness & understanding in the Cards & Payments area
  • Organised Thought Leader
  • Strong analytical & presentation skill set
