Job requirement :
Designation : Team lead - Medical coding - IP DRG.
Location : Hyderabad
Experience : Minimum 6+ years in Medical coding and 3+ years in IP DRG coding is must.
Current Designation : Must be a QA/Sr. QA/ SME on papers for 2 years or a TL on papers
Certification : CPC/CCS/CIC/Any

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of medical coders to ensure timely and accurate coding of inpatient records based on IPDRG guidelines.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members on coding standards, best practices, and regulatory updates.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Coding Accuracy & Compliance:
- Review and validate coding performed by team members to ensure compliance with federal guidelines, CMS regulations, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and report coding accuracy and productivity metrics; implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in IPDRG methodology, coding standards (ICD-10-CM/PCS), and relevant healthcare regulations..
- Bachelors degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of IPDRG methodology, CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, and healthcare reimbursement processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in medical coding software and tools.Role & responsibilities
