Job Summary:
The Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical or medical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. The role involves building relationships with clients, increasing product awareness, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Promotion
- Promote and sell pharmaceutical/medical products to healthcare professionals.
- Explain product benefits, usage, and dosage to doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare institutions.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
- Ensure product availability in pharmacies and hospitals.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare staff.
- Provide accurate information and handle queries related to products.
- Address customer concerns and follow up on prescriptions and orders.
3. Market Research & Analysis
- Gather market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and industry trends.
- Analyze sales data and provide reports on market performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
4. Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective territory business plans.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to execute promotional campaigns.
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales performance and market feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered).
- Skills Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Persuasive selling and negotiation abilities.
- Good understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Self-motivated and target-driven mindset.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory.
