We are actively looking to hire Windows professionals to be based out of our Pune office.
Below is the job description for reference:
What does a successful Windows Support Engineer do at Fiserv ?
- The role involves Lead, design, develop and implement solutions in a complex environments consisting of various technologies Windows, Active Directory, VMWare and virtualisation including Windows Failover clustering capabilities and DR setup.
- It requires working in Distributed Computing Platform team providing infrastructure and application support to various business lines and works with staff to troubleshoot and problem-solve Infrastructure and related application issues
What will you do:
- 5 to 7 years relevant experience in Windows.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, automation, application.
- Perform Installation, configuration, customization, operation, recovery and troubleshooting of Windows, Vmware, Hyper-V technologies in a Production and Build environment.
- Develop and implement strategies for migration, consolidation and upgrade of Windows/Vmware platform.
- Maintain and enhance environment for running batch jobs and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, Active directory, NFS shared associated with daily batch cycle and batch reporting subsystem.
- Candidate should be very good in PowerShell Scripting and should have written multiple windows scripts.
- Combine the ability in scripting and troubleshooting application errors in windows/VMware environments with fine technical acumen. Perform Forecasting and Estimating Capacity Analysis using vRops.
- Cover on-call/Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for incidents/service requests & changes. Support 24x7 coverage as per Business needs.
What will you need to know:
- 5 years of total experience and deep understanding of the Windows OS level concepts such as Active directory, Performance, IIS, memory allocation and network stack , understanding of how applications are affected by the above and ability to debug the same
- 5 Years in Windows scripting language such as PowerShell, VB scripting.
- Knowledge on security technologies such as Kerberos and SSL and experience with toolsets such as JIRA, and Salt, Spacewalk.
- Proven experience in setting up Clusters on Windows, Vmware environment, along with OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization.
- Hands on experience on SAN/NAS storage.
- Experience in using Splunk, AppDynamics, or equivalent monitoring tools.
What would be great to have:
- Certification is Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert.
