Job Description
Job Title: Senior SSRS Report Writer
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior SSRS Report Writer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex SSRS reports and dashboards. The Senior SSRS Report Writer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver high-quality reports that provide valuable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize SSRS reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Gather and analyze reporting needs from business stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to retrieve and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in reports through thorough testing and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts and database administrators, to deliver comprehensive reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report generation, performance, and data discrepancies.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior SSRS developers, sharing best practices and promoting continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in SSRS and related technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience as an SSRS Report Writer or similar role.
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead SSRS projects.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Certification in SQL Server or related technologies is desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with ETL processes.
- Experience in performance tuning SSRS reports.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
